Rt. HON. BEN KALU EMPOWERS OVER 20 SECONDARY AND PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN BENDE WITH EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS .

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chief Benjamin Okezie Kalu, has empowered Pupils and students of twenty six Schools in Bende local government Area of Abia state with Educational Materials worth millions of naira.

Distributing the learning materials, Chief Kalu said the gesture aimed at improving learning conditions of children of school age under the Renewed Hope Support Programme for Education stressing that the initiative is designed to end the challenge of students sitting on bare floors and lacking basic learning tools.

According to the Deputy Speaker, the Renewed Hope Support Programme for Education is one of his several constituency interventions targeted at human capital development and youth empowerment for his Constituency.

While interacting further with the students who came with their teachers and instructors,Chief Kalu explained to them that the intervention was driven by a vision to better their future.

The Deputy Speaker pointed out that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is committed to raising a generation grounded in both moral values and quality education adding that the 26 schools are only the first batch of beneficiaries, with plans already underway to extend the gesture

Items distributed include one thousand chairs and desks, one hundred white boards, eight hundred school bags and ten thousand textbooks and exercise books.
